RINO/Bridge Update

So it looks like the bridge might not be be build.

Great, but Alaska still gets to keep the money. So now we are just giving Alaska money for no reason. I don't know which is worse - at least with the bridge we could easily point out how ridiculous it was to the American people.

Still searching for a domestic reason to vote Republican....

(PS- the article from the first post was actually from Oct, not Nov)

Number 1 Reason to vote Republican, there is no other choice. I agree fully we should get better candidates from the party, but look at the alternative. Reason number two is that those in charge select those in the bureaucracy which locks people in for years and years.
Lets find some good candidates in primaries and some leaders that are going to start laying down the law. Hastert has got to go, he can't even pass a damn budget cut that the Senate passed, pathetic.

I missed the earlier post sorry. Steven you say that Miers was a tipping point, and I understand that to a point, but lets look at all of our favorite President. He was 2/4, Bush is 2/2 and even with Miers 2/3.
I understand the complaints, but lets look at the good things.

I am not saying "yeah" Republicans, and if anyone sees a way or a person(Reagan) that can make it better than I am all for it, but I don't think that letting Democrats take over are going to help with domestic policies, and are going to put is in danger in defense areas.
I am dead serious that 5 hard working campaigners could win a Republican primary with a conservative candidate, anytime you guys want I'm game

Give me the time, place and candidate's name and I'm in.

Could we swing a Presidential Primary, though?

These are the guys that voted against the bridge who are my current/future stars...we need more like them. Hopefully we see more than one throwing their hat in the ring in the future.

Allen (R-VA)
Burr (R-NC)
Coburn (R-OK)
DeMint (R-SC)
Ensign (R-NV)
Graham (R-SC)
Kyl (R-AZ)
McCain (R-AZ)
Talent (R-MO)

Of these, I particularly like Allen, Coburn, Graham, McCain, and Talent.

Future stars seldom come from the Senate. Who are some good Governor's that bring a conservative way of governing. I don't think anyone on that list is bad, but you can't really call them conservative.

On your list are members of the Gang of 14, and a mentioned VP candidate for Kerry, if we are talking the best at governing yes this is a list, but if we are talking moving the whole country to the right do you think any of those on that list do that??
